  • Chateau Fontareche Vielles Vignes Corbieres, France(NEW) 

    A fantastic old vine Syrah based wine from an 'old school' wine region of Corbieres. Great intensity, smooth tannings lots of black fruit with a bit of peppery spice

     

    Vigneti del Salento, I Muri, Puglia, Italy (Primitivo)     

    Production is kept low, which ensures the best quality grapes are selected. 80% of the grapes come from old bush vines and the rest from trained vines that are at least 20 years old.This wine has a deep ruby red colour with violet reflections. On the nose, it has intense red berry fruit perfumes. Full-bodied with firm tannins, it is well balanced with lots of ripe fruit flavours.

    Boutinot Les Coteaux, Cotes du Rhone Villages, France (Grenache/Syrah)

    Immediately impressive, this wine reveals its class from the start. Brambly fruit underpinned by subtle oaky nuances, lovely sweet spice - warm star anise with a touch of cinnamon. 

     

    Waterkloof 'Circle of Life' Red, Stellenbosch, S Africa

    Circle of Life Red is a fantastic example of the huge potential of Cape reds.A harmoniously integrated blend with great length that combines the spiciness of the Syrah, the fresh fruits of the Petit Verdot and the juiciness from the Merlot. The beginning is fresh and fruity with good acidity, evolving into riper flavours and herbaceous notes, with elegant tannins and fine, bright acid in the finish.

     

    Los Durmientes Malbec, Argentina (NEW)

    Argentina has become synonymous with Malbec – this is a great example from old vines. Mid red, smooth velvety texture, black fruits, spice - great with Cheese or Red Meats.

     

    Bodegas Ontanon, Rioja Crianza, Spain   

    This wine is a vibrant ruby red colour with a garnet rim. Aromas of red fruits, vanilla and toast entice the nose. On the palate, the wine's silky texture is tempered by concentrated, red berry fruit and notes of sweet spice from the oak, which culminate in a juicy and persistent finish.
