  • Dandelion Vineyards 'Lionheart of the Barossa', Barossa Valley, Australia (Shiraz) (NEW) 

    The Barossa Valley in Australia is world renowned for top class Shiraz. This is an intense example from Old Vines- some of which are over 100 yrs of age. Rich, deep red - smooth, blackberries, dark chocolate, spice and oak all are too the fore, great balance and soft tannins - voted by our Customers as their favourite 'Big Red'.

     

    Vigneti del Salento, I Muri, Puglia, Italy (Primitivo)     (NEW)  

    Production is kept low, which ensures the best quality grapes are selected. 80% of the grapes come from old bush vines and the rest from trained vines that are at least 20 years old.This wine has a deep ruby red colour with violet reflections. On the nose, it has intense red berry fruit perfumes. Full-bodied with firm tannins, it is well balanced with lots of ripe fruit flavours.

    Boutinot Les Coteaux, Cotes du Rhone Villages, France (Grenache/Syrah)

    Immediately impressive, this wine reveals its class from the start. Brambly fruit underpinned by subtle oaky nuances, lovely sweet spice - warm star anise with a touch of cinnamon. 

     

    Ceppi Barbera d'Asti, Piemonte, Italy

    Sourced from over 40 year old vines, this Barbera shows layer upon layer of concentrated fruit. On the nose it displays warm, spicy aromas of blueberries and plums, with subtle, smoky notes. The palate combines generous ripe fruit with lively acidity, juicy cherry characters and spicy notes beneath.

     

    Verne Malbec, Argentina

    Argentina has become synonymous with Malbec – this is a great example from old vines. Mid red, smooth velvety texture, black fruits, spice - great with Cheese or Red Meats.

     

    Bodegas Ontanon, Rioja Crianza, Spain    (NEW)    

    This wine is a vibrant ruby red colour with a garnet rim. Aromas of red fruits, vanilla and toast entice the nose. On the palate, the wine's silky texture is tempered by concentrated, red berry fruit and notes of sweet spice from the oak, which culminate in a juicy and persistent finish.
