Portugal has history, wine culture and a variety of Terroirs - (not to mention talented winemakers and lots of old vines), so why is it still not regarded as an equal of France, Italy or Spain when it comes to the country's wine?
Join us to taste 3 Portuguese wines to discover why it could or should be the Next Big Thing!
We will start with a White wine from the North of the country - a Premium Single Estate Loureiro from Quinta de Azevedo - think Vinho Verde but with added sophistication!
Next we will travel to the South with a fruit driven, moreish Red blend from the Alentejo region - Aragonez and Touriga Nacional are blended with some Syrah to show the modern face of portuguese winemaking.
We will finish with a Premium Red Wine from the Douro Valley - a £24 Trophy Winner at the International Wine Challenge from Casa Ferreirinha - saving the best til last? We'll let you be the judge of that!
