    Involuntary Commitment 2020, Washington State, USA is a premium 'Bordeaux Blend' of Cabernet Franc, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon (think Pomerol or St Emilion with more body) It's dark ruby in the glass, with aromas of blackcurrants, subtle oak and savoury notes. Rich and smooth on the palate, tannins and oak are integrating nicely and will continue to develop/improve in the bottle for 5-10 years yet.

     

    Passing Giants Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand - This wine spends 10 months in French oak barriques which supports the fruit with a fine, gently toasty structure for a Pinot that is ultimately lifted yet generous. Quite savoury on the nose with some allspice leading into a refreshing plum, black cherry and chocolate laden palate. Serve with Duck or roast white meats.

     

    Amauta Corte 4 Innovacion, Cabernet Franc/Malbec, Argentina - Low yielding, Hand picked grapes from vineyards 1700m above sea-level!. It displays a deep ruby red colour and a lifted nose of bramble berry and gentle spice. Rich and supple with sweet spice and ripe, juicy berry fruit flavours. The finish is plush, long and moreish. Great match with grilled meats - lamb in particular.

     

    Bodegas LAN Rioja Reserva- Premium Tempranillo grapes from old vines and aged in French and American oak barrels for 22 months. This wine is intense garnet in colour. Aromas of juicy plum, cherries and blackberries are married with notes of vanilla and spices from oak ageing and subtle earthy hints from bottle age. The palate is exceptionally well-structured, with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity which carries the complex flavours onto the lingering finish. A textbook example of top quality Rioja Reserva.
