Sergio Mottura Tragugnano, Orvieto DOC [Organic] 2023, Tragugnano is produced from a selection of the very best Grechetto and Procanico grapes - typically from the oldest vineyards (35yrs +)with the best exposure to sunlight. The estate's finest expression of Orvieto.
Ca N’Estruc Xarel-lo, DO Catalunya 2022 An elegantly structured, natural, old vine Xarel-lo from the slopes of the 'holy' mountain of Montserrat. Xarel-lo is better known as one of the main grapes in Cava - this is a great example of it as a 'still wine'! Aromas of citrus, apple and stone fruit are complimented by a streak of minerality on the palate.
The Meeting Point Sauvignon Blanc, W Cape, South Africa 2024 The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are planted at the foothills of the Paarl Mountain which is the second largest granite outcrop in the world. This a light, fresher style of Sauvignon - fruitier than the Loire but not as 'in your face' as Marlborough - perfect summer sipping!
Reds (2 of each)
Mediel Rioja Crianza, DOCa Rioja 2020 Produced from 40 year old vines grown on the slopes of the Sierra Yergas, this is a classic Crianza with the benefits of a bit of bottle age to allow the fruit and oak to integrate and mellow.
Boutinot Les Coteaux, Cotes du Rhone Villages, France (Grenache/Syrah) Immediately impressive, this wine reveals its class from the start. Brambly fruit underpinned by subtle oaky nuances, lovely sweet spice - warm star anise with a touch of cinnamon. This classic Côtes du Rhône Villages is enriched with specially-selected parcels from Séguret and Sablet. Consistently one of our most popular wines!
Wandering Beeste Petite Sirah, WO Coastal Region, S Africa 2022 Petite Sirah, also known as Durif, comes from Syrah pollen crossed with Peloursin in France in the 1880s, and named with immeasurable modesty by the inventor himself, François Durif. The “petite” refers to the tight bunches of small, dark berries whose high skin-to-juice ratio naturally gives a dark wine of structure. An impressively deep plum red in colour. The ripe, imposing nose has dark cherry and kirsch with bitter chocolate, graphite and notes of spice.
